December 17, 2006 HAGP Celebrated HumanLight!

HAGP held its first annual HumanLight/Winter Solstice Party on December 17^th in Hatboro, PA. The event sold out one week beforehand due to overwhelming interest and the capacity of the banquet hall holding only 60 people. The 2007 celebration will be planned to accommodate as many people as necessary.

The event emcee was Humanist celebrant Barry Klassel and the keynote speaker was Gene Queval of the Princeton Ethical Humanist Fellowship. Bill Wood, Storyteller, entertained young and old alike and HAGP Honorary President, Gabriel Elias, was honored for his many years of dedicated service to the group.

HumanLight, December 23^rd, is a new Humanist winter holiday and events were held in many cities across the US in 2006, with momentum growing each year. For more information, visit www.humanlight.org
