December 16, 2007 HAGP Celebrated HumanLight!

HAGP held its second annual HumanLight/Winter Solstice Party on December 16th at the Williamson Restaurant in Horsham, PA. Approximately 60 members and friends gathered to celebrate the lights of reason, compassion, and hope that people can and will build a better future for all of humanity.
The event emcee was our own Humanist celebrant Martha Knox and the keynote speaker was Mel Lipman, president of the American Humanist Association. The string quartet String Theory played some beautiful music, and Arlen Zachary, magician, entertained young and old alike.
HumanLight, December 23rd, is a Humanist winter holiday and events were held in many cities across the world in 2007, with momentum growing each year. For more information, visit www.humanlight.org
