At the September 2007 Program Meeting, member Barry Dancis gave a highly informed talk, Humanist Threads Running Throughout Jewish History, especially to commemorate the recent passing of Rabbi Sherwin T. Wine, 2003 AHA Humanist of the Year.  

       In this presentation, Dancis examined some of the major secular and humanist threads throughout Jewish history that have informed and shaped the modern Jewish outlook on life.
