JULY
July 27, Sun. 1pm: Second Annual Unity Picnic
Last year HAGP held our summer picnic in partnership with the Freethought Society of Greater Philadelphia. This year we celebrate even broader unity in the Delaware Valley; the picnic will be sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Coalition of Reason, or PhillyCoR, a coalition of several local and national freethought and humanist organizations.
The picnic will be at the Flourtown Pavillion of Fort Washington State Park. The park consists of 493 acres in eastern Montgomery County. It lies between the towns of Fort Washington and Flourtown along the Bethlehem Pike. It is about two miles from PA Turnpike Exit 339.
To get to Flourtown Pavilion: From the park office turn right onto Bethlehem Pike. Follow Bethlehem Pike through five traffic lights. Turn right at the sixth traffic light onto West Mill Road. Follow W. Mill Rd for ¼ mile. Park entrance is on right just past sharp curve.
