Luncheon at the Willow Grove Mall Food Court on Saturday:

Our next luncheon at the Willow Grove Mall Food Court is on Saturday, November 11, at 12:00 Noon. We meet there at the same time on the second Saturday of each month. This is our chance to get to know each other, not just meet as Humanists. We can talk about our work, out hobbies, our interests, and our passions. Do you like bowling, chess, string quartets, or walks in parks? There are others in HAGP who do, too.

Monthly Book Club Meeting:

Book club at 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2017. The meeting will take place at Barnes and Noble in Willow Grove, PA. where we will discuss Climate of Hope by Michael Bloomburg and Carl Pope who optimistically explain how cities, businesses and citizens can save the planet. All are welcome, even non-readers.

HAGP Speakers for the last three months of 2017:

What is Humanism?

Humanism is a rational philosophy informed by science, inspired by art, and motivated by compassion.

Affirming the dignity of each human being, it supports the maximization of individual liberty and opportunity consonant with social and planetary responsibility.

It advocates the extension of participatory democracy and the expansion of the open society, standing for human rights and social justice.

Free of supernaturalism, it recognizes human beings as a part of nature and holds that values--be they religious, ethical, social, or political--have their source in human experience and culture.

Humanism thus derives the goals of life from human need and interest rather than from theological or ideological abstractions, and asserts that humanity must take responsibility for its own destiny.
-- The American Humanist Association
